singer and dance artiste Chilli has been assaulted by a group of youth at the recently concluded Y FM musical which was held on September 10, 'Sri Lanka Mirror' learns.During his performance, Chilli has brought a girl onstage and this has angered a group of youth, who had assaulted Chilli.
Security has intervened to put an end to the incident.
However, the incident has sparked rumours that the group of assaulters is connected to a certain minister.
Thilanka Vidñha Velandagoda Pathirana is known by many as 'Chilli'.
Chilli, who entered the local music arena through the song 'Gan Iwura Asabada', rose to popularity by his song 'Tulip Mal Kekuli'.
He also showcased his dancing talents by the reality TV shoes Swarnavahini's 'Dance Stars Dance' and SirasaDancing Stars.
